SITE INFORMATION / EDITORIAL POLICY
Editorial Policy
How the handbook chooses sources, explains plan rules, and handles changes.
Sources and hierarchy
For tax-year limits and tax treatment, use current IRS participant pages, notices, and publications as the primary source. For ERISA plan information, summary plan descriptions, vesting, and fees, use current Department of Labor/EBSA material. A plan’s own current documents govern its specific formula and procedures.
How the guides are written
The text distinguishes statutory limits from employer plan rules, hypothetical examples from actual benefits, and calculator assumptions from observed investment performance. Examples are labeled hypothetical. The site avoids claims of guaranteed results, individualized recommendations, or agency approval.
Review and corrections
The limit page is tied to Tax Year 2026 and links to the IRS source material used. When a source changes or an error is found, the owner should verify the underlying primary source, correct the affected page and its review date, and rebuild the static package. No named editor or review service is represented.
Corrections from readers
Readers can use the contact form to identify a page and quote the statement they believe needs correction. The message is sent by email only when the deployment recipient and mail transport are configured. Do not include sensitive account or tax records. No response time is promised.
Scope
This policy describes the current prototype and is not an independent legal or financial review.
